Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in an on-page search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Plymouth County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's handling of the query is governed by its policy.
Messages Sent to Us
If you email us or submit a contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not disclose that correspondence outside our organization unless a legal requirement compels us to do so.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Routine server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- Your Internet Protocol address.
- The browser name and version in use.
- Your device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of a request.
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies help measure how visitors move through the site and may support search, analytics, or advertising features. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause some site or partner functions to work differently.
How Information Is Used
The information described above supports ordinary site operations and service improvement. We may use it to:
- Keep pages available, responsive, and reliable.
- Send a search request to the selected partner service.
- Understand which Plymouth County record guides visitors use.
- Diagnose errors, abuse, and other technical problems.
- Display advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Outside Websites and Services
Links on this site lead to Plymouth County sheriff pages, jail roster files, Iowa Courts Online, Iowa Department of Corrections resources, federal custody locators, news outlets, and third-party search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy notice and data practices control.
Advertising partners may use their systems to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That cross-site processing occurs under the partner's systems and policies, not as a Plymouth County Busted Mugshots record.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may still be transmitted or disclosed to these parties when needed:
- Search partners that process a query submitted through their tool.
- Analytics providers that measure site performance and use.
- Advertising networks that deliver and assess advertisements.
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies responding to a valid subpoena, court order, or comparable legal demand.
Safeguarding Information
We use ordinary administrative and technical measures intended to protect information under our control. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal information, contact us and request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the law that applies to you and the information we hold, you may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information where the request applies.
- Stop or limit certain processing when an opt-out right exists.
These choices concern data controlled by this site. Requests about an official arrest, court, jail, or corrections record must be directed to the government custodian under the applicable process, including Iowa Code chapter 22 where relevant.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as site practices, services, or legal duties change. The updated language and a new effective date will be posted on this page.
